This 4 hour short course will teach you how to have supportive mental health conversations with your friends and colleagues, how to guide them to professional help and what to do in an emergency.

1. Develop active listening, empathy, and nonjudgmental communication techniques.

1. Recognising Signs of Distress – Identify verbal and non-verbal cues that indicate someone may be struggling with their mental health.

2. Appropriate Response Strategies – Learn how to respond supportively and guide conversations in a constructive direction as well as in an emergency situation.
